Hey Tart I've never heard any of the sounds in the mod files what are they for they sound interesting.

Also Tart I was experimenting and teaching myself with this mod to make a new one similar to this one, and when I replaced most of the planet textures some changed in my game and some others remained the same! even though I deleted the image file from the mod folder! how is that even possible? In particular the Burnt, Azure and Auric world continue to look like the original texture instead of my replaced one is there a backup directory for some planet textures or is the texture just so well integrated somewhere? I'm so confused about how a texture that I clearly deleted is still appearing, do some textures save to the game save file?

The planet textures in this mod are sometimes shared with other mods that use the same file path to avoid needless bloat. Your textures were probably overwritten by such mod.

Ah that explains it so ill change the file path for now! Thanks for that clarification your a godsend now hopefully i can find some time to learn more and release a full-fledged mod soon.

It might've already been noted, but I don't believe that the Terraforming Drone really degrades anymore, due to the change in colony size caps.

No idea if this is getting revisited, but I wanted to make note of it.

Sci Nation mod has custom backgrounds for missions that look like in low orbit of a planet.  Any way same idea could be added here?  Would make fighting over Volturn or Cruor more interesting... although animations on the planet prolly too much to ask for.

I should clarify I don't mean re-use same background skin, just new ones.

Two issues:
First would be to create expectations that every fight close to a planet should have such background, so that's a lot of them to make for each type of planets.
Second (and more importantly) those backgrounds are fine in missions, but they effectively make the combat more difficult by lowering the readability of the battle. Small stuff like missiles get lost in the noise. That's the same reason the revamped backgrounds I'm working on will be much darker overall.

In some ways it's intended for Nex use. It gives your fledgling faction more potentially interesting bits to grow on and some neat defensive considerations for picking a home.
