I knew it! No more *redacted* phrases!!! It sounds amazing, good job making the beam weapons sound like their cooling\power supplies!

I like new sounds and best of 'em, for me at least, are hull-hitting sounds :D

Poor Buffaloes..always getting picked on... =(  anyway, i love the new sounds. makes the weapons sound powerful and something you shouldn't get hit by, instead of peashooters you couldn't care less about. :3

Big and bangy that's for sure.  I  rather like the sound you snuck in of the hull rattling and groaning after each poor Buffalo inevitably exploded.

Mh, there are some real beauties among those sounds. Love the egg shell effect of shields, and the shield activation sound. Explosions and heavy impacts sound great, too. For the weapons, I really liked the Hellbore, Gauss and AM-Blaster.

Some sound a bit strange, in the literal meaning, so that might pass. The torpedo launch sound is too flashy for my taste, but I guess that's to alert the player. And the Talons' Vulcan Cannons sound far more powerful than they actually are. The current flimsy sound seems more appropriate here. Well, and the Plasma Cannon is a bit on the coughy side.


Overall, from what I can hear, great job :)

i would love some loud ass cannon sound with a long echo to it, that you can apply to super-weapons and that can be heard from the entire battlefield with a kind of muffling effect the longer away from it you are, so you kind of panic thinking  "oh **** something huge was fired from the other end of the map..*******!??!??!!! O_o"

I hope the shield hitting sounds will be reduced in volume though. Could be me, but they seemed a bit loud.

Also, Alex Stian, if you share in detail how you make these sounds I think you'll make a lot of people happy. :)

+1, RIP all dem Buffaloes.

Love the new sounds, espexially the differentiation between shielded vs unshielded targets.

I can field that one: no, they generally don't. And most of the old files are no longer available. So, get ready to pick some new sounds for your stuff :)

Pretty cool, i liked the gauss one the most.
Ill agree that many of them are really nice, but being a big sfx lover myself, i found some of them lackluster, like the plasma cannon one. had i closed my eyes, earing it fire isint the mental picture such a sound would bring to my mind.
