Galatia deterioration
« on: May 20, 2024, 11:21:03 PM »

Was not able to find anything else on the matter, nor am i sure if this the correct forum section for it, but ...

I am not sure if this is the result of a weird mod interaction or something else, but Galatia has decivilized. As i understand this shouldn't be possible because  it's not a 'proper market' or some such.

Anyone got any bright ideas

it is for sure some modded thing. i've played ~15 campaigns with up to 75+ mods at a time and never ever has the academy decivilized. as a matter of fact i've had the whole sector decivilize and only the academy as the sole independent "market" left in the sector.

Academy can't be decivilised, it's not a real colony, it has no stats. It's just a campaign object, like the station in Kumari Kandam

and even if it could, it would most likely be marked as "essential" to prevent it from destroying the path of destiny.

Looks like it's not a 'random' hicup. This is the second campaign right after the first one it happened in.  The only major difference between before that and now is the latest Nexerelin update.

go to Nex and tell them about it... It might be a very important game breaking bug. Though I know nothing about Nex, so I could be also very much wrong.

Crosspost from Nex thread:

Galatian Academy decivilizing isn't a Nex thing, whether in this version or the previous one. Industrial.Evolution does some things (specifically, creating its own Academy market that, unlike the vanilla one, gets added to the economy) that makes it possible, although left to its own devices it should still be fine. Does the Galatia star system keep getting raided and/or blockaded?
