Simple machine forum not tracking sent messages

I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this but here goes:

My outbox is empty. There is no record of the messages I have sent which is slightly annoying but not really a big deal.

When composing a new message, there's an option underneath the text area to save a copy of it in your outbox. Have you been using that?

Recommended: Profile -> Personal Message Options -> "Save a copy of each Personal Message in my outbox by default."
