Look at what came in the mail!
« on: October 05, 2015, 11:29:47 AM »

I'm now the proud owner of 120x80cm (47x32") of Starsector art in my home  ;D     ...Well, now I'm officially admitting to my Starsector fanboyism in real life.

I actually have a 90x60 (35x24") version of this canvas and I'm not quite sure what to do with it. I'd probably give away for shipping costs, preferably within Europe. Anybody interested?  ;)

I'd be very interested in that actually!
That is a amazing piece of art, I have it as my background!
Any idea what shipping costs to the UK would be?

Pretty sure that's the mirrored version. ;)

Cool map of East Asia there on the side.

Damn, that's impressive.  How'd you manage to get that, just sent the artwork over to a professional printing facility to get it laminated and all?

I'd really, REALLY love that smaller version that you're giving away, but I live on the East Coast of the US, not in Europe. :/ Just a pond too far away.

Cool you guys like it, too  :)

I'd actually considered doing some kind of contest with this as a price, but that of course makes only sense if there is enough interest.

Any idea what shipping costs to the UK would be?

With DHL it seems to be 17€, but there might be cheaper options. Within Germany it's 6€. To the USA it's unfortunately something like 35€, at which point you're probably better of ordering your own.

It's a world map that goes over the entire wall. :)

It's printed on canvas on a stretcher frame (no lamination), I ordered them on a specialized website during a sale. Really happy how they turned out, I was worried about the resolution but it's fine, and the colors are great. You can surely find something like that for the US, too ;)

I have no idea how much postage and packaging usually costs, but that sounds pretty good.
I'd be more than willing to pay the postage and packaging.

On the flip side, if you want to put it up for a competition, don't let me hold you back.

Nice! Pity the game won't come out in your lifetime, but it's nice art.

Also I totally had the name BEFORE the cruiser.

Gothars, Any chance of a link to this site you got the print from? I'm looking to get a print of some Star Citizen Ships :D

Mh, two interested people  is not much for a contest, but technically enough. Maybe I'll just try it and see if more want to join. Writing seems most inclusive here.

Sure: http://www.meinxxl.de. Don't know if or at what conditions they ship outside Germany.

Nice, post a picture when you get it :) How much did it cost you, if you don't mind me asking?
