Fighters.
I want to like fighters, but I can't because they're way too expensive.
And for some reason they like to retreat after being shot at a couple of times.

Technically, I was referring to being Overwhelmed, it wasn't the mods nor the ships.

Those were frigates, by the way.

I don't really think being overwhelmed is a problem in vanilla, as assuming your fleet is of comparable logistics cap anything slow enough to be swarmed by fast frigates can usually swat them in a volley each. If your ship cant swat them you are either running around with mostly haulers or you messed with a fleet that was much too powerful for your fleet, and for that you deserve the spanking you get.

The most annyoing thing about the game? The time between releases. I used to check for updates every day, now I can control myself to roughly once every three days. But it is crushing to come in every time and not see a new update. An updates joy lasts for about... 20 days. The time between updates is soontm. Those two time frames are not the same. I don't think a change needs to be made, but that is the most annoying thing for me, and leaves me with the recomendation that it time between updates be changed to soonertm.
With a great deal of love,

Yeah I'm with Soychi. It's BECAUSE there is very few things that annoys me about the game that the wait between releases is pretty much unbearable. It is cool that, unlike most games of this type, every update is MASSIVE and brings in a games worth of new stuff, it's just not fun wondering if "soon" or "when it's ready" means next month or October or something. Though I mean, at the same time, that spree of Blog posts a few months ago was awesome so it's getting better at least.
Other than that, I can't really complain, other than the fact Tri Tach never gives bounties in Valhalla or that I can never find good ships in independent markets or something, but that is REALLY grasping.

If you check Alex's activity and announcements timeline, it's pretty much in line with last year's release cycle, witch would put the release somewhere in September or October.

This really isn't that bad. Now, the lack of Bluebell this summer? That's a disaster.

Imo the command point system. It kind of sabotages the entire fleet command aspect by limiting the number of orders you can give.

Now don't get me wrong, I like the idea of making handling a fleet a character skill based system and overall you not being able to micro manage every single ship in minute detail, but the one thing that should never happen is that the players runs out off command points so he cannot do anything with the entire tactical view feature anymore. It really should work like the number of congruent orders you can give (then 3-5 command points topped out might already be plenty), you cancel an order or the order was completed (checkpoint taken or target ship destroyed) you should get back that point.

Or it could replenish over time (check points increasing speed of replenishment), it just shouldn't get stuck at zero because you ran out of checkpoints to capture and command points to spend. There are many ways to do this feature, it just shouldn't void its own functionality by preventing the player from using it which is what kind of happens.

Currently this feature kind of destroys itself, either your char is leveled up so he has so many command points it gets irrelevant or he might have so few early on that using the tactical options is kind of pointless. And in between you might have a small middle ground where the lack of command points is frustrating because you don't have enough for a protracted fight annd feel like you are not a fleet commander but a gang leader in a barfight. Ordering a synchronized torpedo strike to your stubborn AI minions is hard enough without every missed click counting towards making it impossible to do at all. And there is satisfaction in managing to herd your torpedo bombers through a gap in the enemy formation and taking out a flagship before it gets you into trouble and turn the tables on the enemy instead.

There also seems to be some clunky ways in which you can accidently waste your command points by multiple clicking of certain actions/targets when otherwise you at least do not lose more command points per order per tactical view visit (so there is some aspect of the congruent order idea already in there)

Re: Command point system
This is why I like to see a "Capture All" command that costs 1 CP.  Most or all of my CP goes to capturing points.  If I get CP back, the rest are hoarded for emergency retreat for badly damaged ships.

I try to keep my fleet down to 40 DP or less to prevent objectives from spawning, which works great until endgame, when big fleets (either 15+ Atlas or 40+ frigates) are mandatory to level up past 45 or so faster.

Were I to have a "capture all" option, I would prefer "capture all '____' buoys", because I often find it more strategically valuable to ignore others.

But on the note of Command Points, being able to set up "wings" of your fleet beforehand would be rather useful so you don't have to reassign escorts every combat.
