Factions refuse to pay out
« on: December 07, 2015, 06:30:39 PM »

So if you want to play as a bounty hunter, is it essential that you don't get too close to any faction so that the others don't hate you for it?

Basically, I did a bunch of bounties that Heg. liked so they started warming up to me. I thought, "sweet, I can buy their military ships if I keep going." So I did, but then all the other factions launched 'investigations' into my relationship with the Heg. The first few came up clean but then they all failed so now everyone else is hostile to me which means I can't claim most of the bounties because they won't pay hostiles.

Do I need to make sure I don't get too buddy-buddy with anyone so I can continue to bounty hunt? That basically means I can't buy from anyone's military market. If I reduce the Heg. relationship will everyone else stop hating me?

Hi - you might want to grab the latest version of the game, 0.7.1a-RC5. The patch notes are here:

One of the things it does is add a "faction commission" system that changes how this works.

Oh I see! Thanks for the tip. Great game by the way, just started playing and it's really fun. Unfortunately it's eating into my studying for finals ; )
