Whenever I try to start the game with your mod active, it immediately crashes. I'm currently playing 0.53a on Windows.

check for a missing } or ; on the file \mods\Hay_Ind\data\variants\Volkh_Assault.variant

you should be able to fix it yourself

Whoops,  just re-uploaded a fixed version.
There were a couple of missing/unnecessary commas from where I muddled with the weapon groups in that variant.

This mod has potential. I am loving your use of GIMP to create and fill in textures.

Amazigh, some friendly tips from a fellow BSF spriter:
Several sprites on the BSF Shipmaker do not mirror evenly and will cause a 1px offset when placed on the x axis due to them having an odd number of pixels in construction (ie. y value 0) so you may need to adjust them accordingly. Right now several of those ships have some mirroring errors which otherwise mar some very well designed symmetry.

Otherwise, the ships are solid, good stuff. I like 'em.

Uh, with quite a few of the ships I only made the Left half in the SM, and mirrored them in GIMP/MSPaint, so i'd appreciate if you could point out any mirroring errors you spotted.

This thread has been inactive for over two years, and the mod author hasn't been on the forum for months. Not to criticize your effort, but it seems rather wasted on such a forum derelict. There's also a rule against necroing which I'd like you to adhere to (see forum rules).
