Getting a strange crash

What OS? Are your graphics drivers up-to-date?

Yeah, that's usually the drivers. Could also happen if the desktop display mode set to something other than "True Color (32 bit)" - on Windows, at least.

(There's also a remote possibility of a new version of the graphics drivers introducing a problem that wasn't present in an older version, with the solution being a downgrade to a previous driver version. Remote, but it's happened.)

Ah, that explains it. I'm using a different (older computer) in a foreign country right now.
