mods folder?
« on: September 12, 2013, 02:09:38 PM »

I noticed there are 2 mods folders, one in the main directory and one in the star-sector-core directory.
Which one should I put my downloaded mods in??

I tried each folder separately but I always get an error "You have no mods installed".

it seems running starsector from the batch file doesn't load any mods I have.

I have to run from the batch file cause I'm having issues with the java version that comes with starsector, so I have to
use my systems java.

I can get the initial screen, buy after clicking 'Play StarSector' the game doesn't load.

Anyway I can get the mods to load with the batch file???

The batch file doesn't set the paths correctly. You can copy the Java parameters used in your vmparams file (in the main install directory) as that has the proper paths set.

If I put my mods in the mod folder under starsector-core and and get rid of the named mod folder from the extracted zip file it works, and my mods seem to run ok.
But i'll look into the vmparams file as you suggested.
