A fight with.....nothing?...
« on: June 10, 2013, 10:38:20 AM »

Playing the Exerelin mod and... this happened. The fleet I fought was the medium sized one between the other two fleets. As you can see, there ARE ships in the fleet. I just didn't fight any of them. No xp earned, no credits earned, no loot salvaged, entire independant fleet spontaneously exploded afterwards, despite nothing happening. I did autoresolve this fight, even if only by mistake.

The reason this happens is because you engage a fleet at the same time as another fleet, and their autoresolve is prioritized before yours, so you auto resolve whatever is left of that fleet, and if the other fleet killed of the entire enemy fleet, you autoresolve nothing.

I always figured player actions would be prioritized first.

That said, if you wanted to dock a station and an enemy fleet is on top of you, they would always engage you first, so, meh. AI gets first strike on the campaign interactions, I guess..
