Lore

The Dominion Space, is a war torn battle for supremacy. The Hegemony claims tries to control the planets to gain power, but the Tri-Tachyon Corporation wants to control the resources saying they rule with there supreme technological superiority. This lead to conflict between two equally powerful factions and the conflict invited pirates to prey on the wounded fleets and scraps of the war. All this conflict lead there resources to thin and preventing them from collaborating on reconnecting with other sectors, and it seems war between these factions will never end... until now.

During a pirate raid on a Hegemony Convoy on the outskirts of of the sector, a large explosion occurred before the battle happened and amiss the explosion, several frigates and a large cruiser appeared out of no where. The explosion damaged both the Hegemony and Pirate fleet. The pirates outraged by the sudden attack, they quickly counter attacked the new fleet, while the Hegemony ran away during the massive battle. The Hegemony Convoy recorded the fight as they were running away to report what had happened... The Pirate fleet engaged the unknown ships. The Pirates were completely destroyed but took out their main ship, of what appeared to be a cruiser, and one frigate. Another explosion occurred same as the one prior to the battle, and a few more frigates came and seemed to start healing it's wounds.

The news of a foreign faction gave great excitement to the Hegemony, and the Tri-Tachyon quickly received the news from there spies. Both factions began to plan on how to get this new faction to join their own cause on the war and sent ambassador ships to this foreign fleet... Unfortunately the Admiral of the fleet was furious about the destruction of their recon fleet and killed both ambassador. The new fleet began to start raiding all 3 fractions. They first sent there assault fleet started massacring any of the pirate's faction fleet because of there unstable government weakness. The Hegemony and the Tri-Tachyon realize that they were soon be like the pirates, outnumbered, outgunned, and have a inevitable demise. So they made a uneasy alliance to organize and to have there assets combined to overcome this new enemy.

Most of the fleets were pre-made but a new strike force was needed. One that had both the power of the Hegemony and the ability of the Tri-Tachyon. This new fleet need to compose of ships to cover each other's weakness. A strike fleet of highly trained and very skilled at what they do to make this new fleet... and this is the beginning.

The Game

Hope you enjoy that bit of... story. But this game is a bit like... well a lot of mix of games... but here how it works.

1. There are 4 players, each person chooses their own ship (1st come 1st serve), and qualities of there officers (1 good and 1 bad for each person)

2. The story of the game is pre made (all the missions are planed out). though the choices you make in the conversation/pre battle, and the outcome of the battle will change what endings and how much help you get.

3. All 4 players will agree on what to say and to respond (they can say anything... including just the word chicken) and the point of it is to convince me on things... but the important events (such as dose this person attacks you or not) will be rolled by dice.

5. combat has 4 phases, 1st pre combat phase, plan phase, action phase, result phase

-ships are in a grid pattern of 2 row, 3 columns, the 1st row can allow only 3 people to be in front, and 3 people are allowed at the back at a time. This is so that the enemy has to attack who ever is in front. You can pre order the formation, and the formation can be changed mid combat but cost 50% of flux (which you will regain all 50% loss after the plan phase) long range guns can attack from 2nd row, and can attack enemy 2nd row. medium range, can attack from 2nd row and hit only the 1st row, or in 1st row and attack the enemy 2nd row. short range can not attack from 2nd row, if 1st row, can attack only the enemy 1st row. if 1st row is destroyed, 2nd row is able to be hit regardless of range.
-There are slots to flank. flanking cost 2 turn to get to the stern of enemy. but this will allow all enemy units to hit the unit that is flanking. but... flanking can disable or do direct damage to enemy (increase chance to disable)
-missles can hit anyone. fighters must take 1 turn to flank.

5a. pre-combat phase, it happens after conversations (sometimes), and before actually fighting. take this time to rearm you load out, do any repairs, and to reorganize the formation accordingly.

5b. once combat starts, you can choose what is your action. who goes 1st is base off of order of the units on the board. you can do one several actions in one turn... as long as it dose not go over the flux limit... and doing a flux cool down automatically ends turn. example (Hyperion turn: 1. uses teleport to get to enemy stern, 2. fires dual Heavy Blasters, 3. uses teleport to get to friendly stern)

5c. after you guys tell me what happens. I go roll the dices using a D10 dice to determine outcome. (example, a score of, 1- misses target, hits friendly unit who is also attacking same target, 2-3 results in a miss, 4-7 results in a clear hit, 8-9 results in a hitting weak part (+25% damage), 10 results in complete bypass (dodge shields and armor) and disable either (weapon or engine).

5d. i will report everything that happened in that turn and then we go back to the plan phase.

6. damage is base off of roll and pre loaded weapons

7. scraps is main resource in the game. Is used to use certain abilities, for repairs, and certain conversation (bribe). there is a limited amount so use wisely.

8. reinforcement is a passive resource to get. You want as high reinforcements as possible to get certain benefits and better ending. It is split up into the 3 different fraction, so it is possible to have 0 reinforcement from the pirates but all of the Hegemony fleet at your disposal. Every battle/mission, will either raise or reduce one or all of the reinforcement and it is completely depended on success of mission and choices you make.

9. THE MOST IMPORTANT THING OF ALL... if you die... you die for good... there is no respawn... so don't die... and sometimes you are not retreating but just advancing backward (guess were i stole that line from). and yes you can withdraw from a battle... (individually as well) if you choose to.

10. a important note... this is the 1st time I am doing this... so expect... a lot of bugs... like ohh i have 100+ scraps at the end of the game... or everyone is dead by the 3rd mission.

If you have any idea on more rules i am flexible.
