I am getting better with Photoshop so ill see what i can do to clean that up a little. between both the images for it i should be bale to make a usable sprite. the harder part will be the weapons on it. But I have a couple ideas

Working on 2.1, hopefully will have it released this weekend. New ships, and no more Hegemony!

Project has been put on hold temporarily. Moving to a new place, and I need some time to get settled in and adjusted. Hopefully will be resuming work on the mod by next week. Assuming I can get a desk chair. Or a desk for that matter.

To all the followers of this mod:

Development will resume within the next few days, and a new release will follow shortly. My estimate is that a new release, with some new ships, will be available in about 7 days. I was forced to recover version 2.0 when my hard drive crapped out, and I lost everything from 2.0 onward.

I don't know if it's something I'm doing wrong, but the campaign missions for the mod do not show up for me. Is there anything I could do to fix it?

Im working on recovering the current revision from a dead hard drive. Need to rebuild a few things before i can release another version

Version 2.5 in under construction. Massive graphical adjustments. Will be reducing the overall scale of the larger vessels so game-play will be a little more reasonable. A lot of thought went into this, and I feel some of the ships are just too large. I am open to community opinion on this. I may actually make a poll about it.

So I need someone to tell me if setting Ion Cannons to kinetic with a high EMP and low damage will achieve the effect I want:
Great vs shields
Crap on Armor
High EMP effect


but i guess what you suggest is the best way. you could also just make the ship without shield. its not a new concept and it would solve your problem.
And be movie accurate too. star wars ship dont have shields


Star wars ships does have shields, for example it´s know fact that Executioner downfall was caused by low shield density (compared to typical star destroyers).

On that particular note, in the majority of the books written after the movies, in combat, there are one set of shields that reflect everything. Smaller ships usually have a separate Anti-Concussion shield, but Capital Ships have Combat Rated Deflectors designed to withstand massive amounts of energy and impact. With the limitations of the game engine (no disrespect to Alex and crew) A single all purpose shield is the most accurate to Lore for combat.

I greatly appreciate the feedback I'm starting to see on this project. There are many things that just don't work within the current game (tractor beams, Gravity Wells) but hopefully will be added later. I'm still working on fine-tuning the balance between the ships, and its a numbers crunching game now. Does this ship have too much health? are these guns DPS too high?
