Starfarer Won't start

I don't quite understand but the .54 starfarer that I have will not start under any condition.  No prompt ever appears it just starts and cancels immediately so there's no crash log either.

Have you tried the usual - redownload/reboot/reinstall? Has anything about your system configuration changed recently?

If you check your environment variables, having JAVA_OPTS defined could mess things up in this specific way.

Try reinstall? Maybe the download faulted somehow.
