I love Elite, Elite 2 and even FFE ... and spent years waiting for Elite IV to be officially announced into full development ... then this? It's effectively the same 'news' from about 6 (10?) years ago!

I can't help but be a touch cynical. I won't take much convincing, but I think I will still need a bit more than this.

My thoughts exactly. Though i can't but think this might be a good game aswell. It sounds awesome, and who knows, one might have a 1000 player corp

If the two greatest space simulator franchises; Wing Commander & Elite successfully resurrect the genre, we might see more mainstream publishers willing to back space games.

You never know, we might even see the outstanding X-Wing franchise revived!

I think the other problem CR had was that no matter what they'd make him put it onto consoles. I think, really, publishers are dying out on PC.

I think they updated it from when you posted - I see a movie, art, and in the background of the movie there are early dev tests going on. Combine that with a game company with multiple titles under their belt and I see a fairly safe bet for an awesome game.

Yes, that is good. Let them die and rot on consoles so true game designers can rise from their ashes. Like Alex.
