its not really alex's fault if someone sold you a card worse than what you already had and called it an upgrade.

Can you give this build a try and let me know how it runs for you?

120 fps at the menu 40fps when flying around drops below 10fps when I'm doing a fight with 2 ships.

Hmm. So this is the previous build - looks like you're not getting anything near the frame rate you were getting with the same build and the old card.

That much FPS drop?  That level of drop sounds like everything's getting kicked back to CPU rendering, and it still "works" but is no longer being accelerated.  

So, erm, why didn't you buy a cheap nVidia / ATi card instead?  Intel cards aren't exactly made for gaming.

We traded cards his was slightly better, temporary trade. 20$ because he didn't want me to steal it. Went back earlier today and got my card back in and installed can no longer run starfarer. The new build, I only get 40 frames at menu under 10 frames when fighting with more then 2 ships. I'm not going to but a 200$ grapics card just so I can play a game that I couldn't previously play on a *** laptop. Well, if you call a 730$ laptop ***.

So you could play it previously? And you have your old card back and you still cant? Try playing some of the older versions, and if thats not working, something is wrong with your card. It it is working, its something wrong with the game.
