make your own levels?

i think that it would be fun to be able to make your own levels, it would add a lot of replayabilaty to the game, and maybe a way to share levels with other people?

People haven't tended to update their mods (me included) for the very latest release, but it's a current function of the game.

Have a browse through the modding section, plenty of information to get you going, hopefully.

Plus, Alex has said he'll add more support for mods in the future.  A long while ago he promised (loosest possible definition of "promise") a ship editor in the next release.  But, that was before the next release became a massive game update with the foundations for many of the game's core features, so that ship editor might be a bit further off now.

The campaign is also mostly procedural (only core & other such significant systems will be pre-generated, and even then, the internal contents may still get some randomization)
