After doing a forum search, I wasn't coming up with any other threads or useful information, so I'm bumping this. Forgive me if there is a more relevant thread that I'm missing.

I'm wondering if devmode has been expanded or received any new features since this thread was created, or if any old functions have been discovered since then.

No clue.

I, however, know that "K" gives you 25000 CR, and "L" gives your crew experience :)

On mac it's command click to take over enemy ships
it also appears to be if you hit hold fire and/or kill the engines then the ai will stay that way which leads to some interesting stuff, like easy testing of weapons

This came up elsewhere, and I'm adding it to this thread to flesh out the scraps of information.
In dev mode, while in combat, you can press F8 to reload all the ship and weapon data. This is helpful if you want to avoid re-running the game.

It also has the side effect of turning off the AI for all ships, restocking their ammo & repairing them, and causing occasional crashes considerably later in the same session. (So, if you've pressed F8, don't report a subsequent crash as a bug :D)

It'd be nice if this information was made into a neat list and kept stickied in the Modding area; these features could have saved me a lot of time already, especially that F8 thing :)

The main issue is that I don't want to spam new threads if there are relevant ones already existing. This means that I can't update the OP to keep things organized like I love doing.

How do you make it save the launch settings when running in dev mode? (resolution, sound, fullscreen)

Had some fun with dev mode, killed the whole hegemony SDF by jumping to their ships and having them kill their own fleet.
