You are the first game developers I have ever seen with such a COOL, GOOD and popular forum! Then only thing I miss, is the layout.
The layout on the Starfarer page is so nice and colorful! Could you do some uppgrade to the forum page/background as well?

If you start to add background pictures and other doodads it'll just start to induce annoyances. The clean and clear look we have now works just fine the way it is.

Not everything needs to be colorful, some things just need to be useful.

Personally, I like the current style. It's simple, and clear. Though I'm not opposed to someone adding a new theme. I just won't be using it.

This is a forum I regularly go on, as many of you probably know by now, and it has some colors, and is simple, it it works great. (much better than in looks and feel this one, I might add.)

The main page is supposed to look attractive to new players and give a nice first impression about the game. But the forum is more for the more dedicated players, and thereby the players already play the game and dont need fancy and annoying stuff cluttering the screen.

This is the default forum style for this brand of forum software, which is already similar to other forum software defaults. Eventually its probably a good idea to change around the parameters and make something unique. No massive banners, shoulder deep forum modifications, or screen clutter even enters into it, some different colors and a title bar never hurt anything though. The last thing i'd want is time taken from starfarer development for it though.

Yea, I'd like to see some color changes.  Maybe even coordinate it with the ship colors (grey/orange, red/orange, blue, etc.).
