At 0.04 - 0.07 seconds, you can see an APEC unfolding wings and setting off.

Thanks! I was already using it  ;) but I appreciate the effort. It is a good source. Like I've said in the OP, it is hard to find info on ships and such, because the show got cancelled and it hasn't been 'developed' as much as some other scifi shows.

Also, awesome song, written as a tribute to the life and death of Wash, Serenity's pilot:

Hah, sounds great!  Keep the work up, and don't let it die like the previous version of this mod :D

Guess what I'm working on.  :D

That's the proper scale, also.

A very smooth, very new Firefly-class Transport. Handrawn sprite :). Of course, Serenity will get a worn look.

Feedback please!

If you watch closely, you can see two shuttles lodged into the mid section of the hull.

Very neat, although I'd say that even for being brand new; it's too white. I believe that it should be more worn steel plates, you'd need paint to get that shade of white (or plastic/rubber/composite) and who's going to paint a freighter?

Yeah. I'll leave all new Alliance ships as shiny and white, with fresh paint jobs. Used and older ships get a rougher look. Hull plates in different colours, paint scraped off, rust... you name it.

Here's a nice image. It shows how the ship was different from series 1 to 3:

I think I did a pretty dandy job, if I do say so myself:

Anyway, next up: The Longbow-class Patrol Cruiser:

A pair of heavy cannons, a dozen point-defense guns, 360 missiles and over a thousand jammer/decoys.
