Hello David. I have one question about the lore, there are some story elements I have rolling about in my head and this thought came up.

The tri-pads that all the ‘cool kids’ use, that’s made by tri tachyon. If you buy a new tri-pad from an official sanctioned seller like directly from tri tachyon or something, does the tri-pad come with spyware or some other vulnerability built into the device by tri tachyon? If yes, how easy is it to be removed? Do you think tri-tachyon utilizes a ‘pay to enable unlocking the OS to remove stuff’ such as spyware? Or do they actually not pull stuff like that?

I think it's mentioned during one of the AI Wars that the Hegemony resorted to transmitting information via courier ships due to concerns over Tri-Tach spying in their telecommunications, so I wouldn't put it past them to include some fun backdoors in their data pads.

How will the major factions react to the sudden presence of an 'off-world' human faction? Currently, I expect them to keep the off-worlders at an arm's range but I think each of them might react differently from one another. For example, I think..

Hegemony will be in a cold war-ish level of hostility and espionage due to my faction's heavy reliance on AI technology ( which isn't native to the Persean Sector ).
Tri-Tachyon should be naturally curious about the tech and would be interested to engage diplomatically but with caution.
Sindria... might just be outright hostile if we're gonna do a 'the enemy of my enemy is my friend'.
Persean League are a bunch of loose planets and stations united to stand against Hegemony if I recall, they might neutral.

Additionally, I also think Galatia Academy or the several characters from the game's main quest lines would be very interested to learn and interact to see if any of this caused by one of the gates and whatnot.

In terms of truly alien factions, it really depends on several factors that define the setting.
The tone and themes could be completely inverted, and faction attitudes would follow suit.

* Would the arrival of said faction have any implications on the status of the Domain? The method of arrival, what the aliens are, and what they interact with, all imply something about how the Domain possibly could be functioning, or entirely collapsed. Entire factions base themselves on this question.
* How much understanding does said faction have about their own technology? Would they be able to understand Domain technology? The Domain and the Collapse are defined by a LACK of understanding of many of the technologies that control it - intentionally or not.
* What is their own stance regarding the current factions of the Persean Sector? What about the Domain that preceded it? Alien ideology could be whatever.
