Interactions with neutral/friendly fleets
« on: February 28, 2024, 04:42:59 AM »

I'm in a remote system right now and there is a fleet that is "investigating". They're friendly, so I went up to see if I could interact with them but there was no option to inquire about what they were investigating.

Being able to chat with friendly/neutral fleets about what they are up to, would be nice as it could open some additional minor gameplay as well as contribute to the feeling of the galaxy being a living dynamic place.

I would love to have more reasons to interact with friendly fleets. For example, you could buy a derelict ship from a scavenger fleet in the outer reaches of the Sector, or get clues as to where you might find some blueprints if you give them some credits (and/or have a Friendly or Welcoming attitude with the indies). You could also buy fuel and supplies from merchant fleets and sell them commodities (perhaps only of the type they are currently transporting to their destination). You could strike a deal with a bounty hunter to escort you and deal with that pesky pirate the Hegemony wants gone together. You could sell illegal commodities to smugglers, etc.

There are a ton of possibilities, and I really hope this is something we see soon!
