Then I would recommend keeping it in this forum until you feel it is ready for wide release. Another thing I noticed is that you do not have it assigned to a faction market so they only way a player can get it is through console commands.

Not_a_cat,
I took the liberty of compiling a copy that adds the ship to be shown on the title screen, be available to fight against in the refit sim and added it to the following factions for sale: Independent, because it is a mix of low and high tech, Tri-Tac because it is mainly a high tech ship and Sindrian Diktat because Lobster :) I did fight against it and it does perform but I hesitate to give any balance suggestions because popular opinion is that I have no clue how to balance my ships and I would not want to give bad advice.

This is only the windows version as I do not compile mac os in my mods so if you like it, you would have to add the changes to the mac os version. If I am overstepping then my apologies and I'll remove the post.

I've tried to implement "pirate" version and the ship just doesn't make sense given standard large ballistic choice therefore I decided to rethink the lobster to make a the entire lineup more versatile and logical: For instance in the standard version I replaced 2 Large ballistic + 1 small pd ballistic to line up of 2 medium ballistic +  1 composite + 2 small ballistic. Which was done in order for pirate version to have 3 chainguns. Will test and see how it will be going ++ Thank you for the advice to keep it in the pants (not publish mod to the index) I wouldn't have such a freedom if the mod was already in the index

If you plan to make faction specific versions then it would make sense to vary the loadouts to give each one their own role and flavor. Either reskin the base ship or make new ones based on the original. Either way, I wish you well in your endeavor and I'll keep an eye on the mod as it progresses.

That is the what this forum is for, a work in progress looking for feedback. The players who frequent this forum are generally more willing to lend a hand and not just download and run and only post when they have an issue. You may want to seek some help on the unofficial discord as well. There are several # areas with pinned advice and the moderators are generally helpful if you are looking for specific advice.

Has updated the mod! I kinda needed to brutalise your artwork (in order to make ships easily distinguishable) sorry about that. But otherwise the ship collection feels really decent and what I am especially proud: ships are strong not because of OP numbers but because they have a good in game design.

As for your suggestions may I ask what are those java files with industry descriptions ? Is it somehow about the ship ?

Nice, glad you are keeping at it. As to the artwork, I donated it freely for you to use however you would like so no worries.

Oh lol my bad, I was using CFT as a template and accidently left the in the econ and terrain subfolders in campaign folder. You can delete those sorry about that.

Edit: I uploaded a version on that link that does not have those folders in case someone installs it while having CFT installed it would mess with their economy.

For some reason on the forum main page the images you post just show the hypertext instead of the image. Here is what I see, I removed the "img" tags in case your browser does show images:

++ May I ask anyone to playtest those ships?
They are fun, I promise. (the artwork is off, but I wouldn't put any more efforts on that front until ship design is finalised)

++ Carrier version puzzles me the most: it got no teeth but can soak absurd amount of damage so in a fight alongside with glass cannon craft it can eliminate virtually anything in the game

Hey, I'm not sure if you're satisfied with your current sprites for the lober cruiser so I've made a reskin for the lion guard.

Feel free to ping me on starsector unofficial discord if you need assistence with kitbashes and skins

Github says not found for current 2.0 link

Dug back down in URL, can only find 1.0 release.

Might be a me issue, but if so, not sure what.  Any help appreciated.  I needs some Lobster.
