So it's finally happening. Be it your worst fear or your dream of a pony mod is coming to Starfarer come true.

The main people working on this mod will be evildog (spriting), SonicRaptor (spriting? and coding for ships), and myself (whatever else needs doing I guess).

But we are going to need a lot of input from My Little Pony - Friendship is Magic fans as to the direction this mod will take.


What do you people want to see in a Pony mod lore wise?

• Do you want actual ponies or humans that take on the pony names and such or do you want Anthropomorphic ponies? (a cross between pony and human)
• As for the setting, do you want science-fiction and actual spaceships like those of Starfarer or do you want to see fantasy and magical ships like those of Spelljammer?
• We also need to think about the factions, do you want to see pony against pony ala Lunar Republic vs Solar Empire or do you want to see pony vs others for example Equestria vs Griffons or perhaps just a stand alone pony faction?

All input is welcome.

Portrait and ship donations are welcome.
If you have good art sources you want to see used (pictures from pony booru for example) then provide us with a link please.

Lunar Republic vs Solar Empire (low/med/high tech style/design differences)

Lunar Republic as low-tech: You could make pony ships in the style of the low-tech hegemony and lore wise account for it as Luna having bin away for a 1000 years and finding that ship design has progressed from her old fleet which lies in either disrepair or have just bin restored and taking back into use.
Solar Empire as med/high-tech: Mid-tech ships would be the mainstay ships of the Solar Empire while high-tech ships are brand new designs.

Lunar Republic as high-tech: The return of Luna brings back old lunar magic lost to the past.
Independent as mid-tech: Independent unicorn ships or ships of other races find a balance between the two goddesses.
Solar Empire as low-tech: Celestia has grown old and her magic has to span across the great defense fleet which does not allow for the energy abundance of Luna's ships.

Pony racial castes.

Earth Pony as low-tech: Earth ponies having to do everything by hoof and with little magic of their own fit well for the low-tech ship style.
Pegasus as mid-tech: Pegasus ponies are more accustomed with flight and its mechanics as well as their military history, there ship designs show a balance between the pony ship designs.
Unicorn as high-tech: Unicorn ponies being the magic users fit well with the energy style of high-tech ships, as well as their relative frailty, their speed represents their aversion for combat.

Individual ship ideas.

Apple family carriers: Applejack, Macintosh.
Science vessel: Twilight Sparkle, Starswirl the bearded.
Fighter or fast Frigate: Rainbow Dash.
Capital ships: The three Princesses; Celestia, Luna and Candice.

Orbital would imply a standalone weapons platform that is in orbit around something (a planet for example).

Though we could do a "re-purposed orbital friendship cannon" on a capital ship perhaps.

Why ponies? Every game seems to have a pony mod, even dwarf fortress has a pony mod!

Seriously, I'm not against, everybody is entitled anything as long you don't step on the feet of your neighbours this is a naive question without offence meant... Is the TV show so good that it deserves adaptations to game? I admit I never watched an episode!

Yes it is and no its not.

Its just a preference for some people, some people find comedy or joy in ponyfing (sp?) the things they like.

Watch a few episodes on youtube (start at the start), you can see for yourself whether you like it or not.

Eberron in general is just epic. You should google their lightning trains.
