Slipstream bug
« on: May 12, 2023, 09:34:16 PM »

What appears to be a small bug with an otherwise normal slipstream. Has a little gap that, at least as I was rubbernecking on my way by, seemed off. So, I pulled over.

It doesn't cause a serious problem, but I figured you'd want to know all the same.

Those dang space potholes!!!!!!

... hmm - I honestly have no idea what I'm looking at here! Also, this appears to be modded?

Oh, apologies. It's just... red. That's the mod.

Anyways, there's a clear gap between an otherwise normal slipstream right in the center. You can see a swath of deep hyperspace bisecting it vertically right up the middle.

Ah, thank you! I'll keep an eye out.

Slipstreams get interruptions based on certain things - like the Alpha Site gravity well, and a circle around star systems - though it doesn't quite look like what's happening here, that *is* odd!

Yeah, it was a pretty isolated find. I've never seen anything else quite like it through multiple playthroughs since slipstreams were implemented, and I love me some slipstreams.

More of an interesting curiosity than a serious problem.
