Hello there,

I recently  installed multiple mods to add some factions and noticed that the advanced optics ship mod is missing (and possibly others but i'm not sure about it since i can't recall all of them). I tried desactivating some factions mods that adds ship mods (like junkyard dogs for example) and restrated a new game to try, but it didn't solve the problem. It's bothering me a lot because i use this ship mod on all my energy weapon-based ships.

I can post the list of all the mods i installed if necessary.

Advanced Optics is not known at the start of the game. You have to find a modspec for it and learn it.


You can confirm it is still in the game by opening the Missions menu on the main menu and refitting the ships in one of the missions - all hullmods are available in missions.

Looks like you were right and there was no problem with my mods at all. I still have much to learn about how this game works.
