Rock, Paper, Shotgun

Just an idea, but maybe do this? It'll gain you a LOT of publicity. 2D indie space RTS-esque game akin to Mount and Blade with a sandbox world? I think most readers will jizz in their pants. :p Terraria got it's massive break from doing this (or at least, it was part of it), and there's every chance Starfarer will too.

P.S. Hi, first post. Not bought the game yet (nor won it in any of the B12G raffles Dx), but I will do when I get the chance. :D

Welcome aboard !

Though Starfarer is awesome, particularly for its alpha state, I don't think it's ready for a huge buzz. The campaign needs to be in before at least.

Yeah, I don't think it's quite ready yet. No second chance to make a first impression and all that.

P.S. Hi, welcome to the forum :)

Why has a developer ever needed any reason other than "it looks bloody awesome"?

I do 3D modeling and map creation for an open source fps called xonotic

I agree. I personally think it would be better to wait for Starfarer to be closer to completion before they give it too much publicity.

The battle station is not completely operational, shall we say.

It's okay, we can always do a quick whip-round.

Plus I assume Ivaylo has a spare kidney, I'm sure he could get a fair price in the back streets of Sofia.

Yeah, I already sold my firstborn, my wife and my cat.

Kidneys here are cheap though (supply and demand) so I will have to come up with something more inventive. Liiiiike. Hum. Running naked in the streets and getting people to pay me to stop, for example.
