How on earth are you expected to beat the new REDACTED

As if the first ships aren't enough. Each ship might as well be worth 2 5x tach radiants at once.

Doritos have omega weapons which are typically:

- Charge based, so they dump a lot of damage initially and falter in sustained output
- Have a heavy focus on area damage, meaning that it almost naturally PDs

Hence why zigg basically hardcounters them.

Spam them with fast high tech ships. You pilot a capital or cruiser that is fast and good against fighters.

General advice: Bring very tanky ships - either ships with strong shields, or ships with heavy armor and a lot of EMP defense (resistant flux conduits, auto-repair unit, that sort of thing). Also bring heavy anti-fighter point-defenses. Edit: Also expect casualties; you are very unlikely to get through these fights without something dying, so make sure any important hulls have some form of guaranteed recovery.

Slightly Cheesy Advice: Bring a Monitor or a fast phase ship; pilot that ship yourself and go engage one of the crystals while your fleet takes on the other. Your job here isn't to kill the thing - in fact, killing it before your fleet deals with the other is counterproductive. Just keep it busy.

Even Cheesier Advice: Bring one or more of vanilla's cruiser+ sized phase ships; both the Doom and the [REDACTED] perform very well here.

Extremely cheesy advice: bring a decent sized fleet with a mix of vessels (ala what someone else mentioned) but also bring 2x Harbingers.

Watch them dash into your fleet to start destroying everything, get Harb overloaded, and pop like a balloon.

That's what I did  ;D

Going a step further, "get some monitors" is a good first step for every hard fight.
Only time I wouldn't deploy them is when the enemy has too many harbingers.

Monitor distraction is a good advice, those little sh*ts make me mald when it's on the enemy side

They have very strong shields and huge flux pools, so you need to flank them.
But they're very maneuverable, so to flank them you want fast ships.
But they have huge burst DPS and so can delete frigates easily.

Honestly I'm not sure how you'd do it without the Doom. The ability to stop them disengaging by dropping a mine behind them is so essential.

Hammerhead has much better engines, so I ram enemy Monitors with my flagship and push them into untenable positions.

Regarding doing it without a Doom, the tesseracts have directional omnishields with 150-180 degrees of coverage. Can tachyon the shields down normally while they chase monitors, and scarabs/other fast frigates get behind with ion weapons. Once the engines are out, their top speed is no longer 3x100 or so, it's 3x0.

Wolfpack eats them without casualties. Scarabs, hyperions, glimmers. I'm even making a video about it.
