can you edit your fleet with notepad++

I wanted to do a "cheaty" run in Starsector by giving myself a paragon at the beginning. I know that will break the balance of the game but i thought it would be fun to try once.

is there a way to use notepad++ or a mod that will allow me to do something so cheap? 

all the forum posts i have found so far have discussed modifying the random start values for your fleet and giving yourself more credits so if this question has already been answered i just missed it

Use the console commands mod. It has an 'addship' command I believe
