ETA for next Release?
« on: September 29, 2020, 12:46:54 PM »

Howdy,

I played the hell out of this game back when that youtuber made a video about it.

Basically did everything in the game and I added a bunch of mods too..

It's been a while since the last release...

Is the next release coming out soon?

It come when it's ready, AKA Soon™ (IE, somewhere between 'later' and 'much later') ©

In that case I'll be by daily and ask about it and push it well into next year.

Alex is doing playtesting now as per his Twitter, so the big work is probably done. But don't get excited for a release till the patch notes come out.

Playtesting of new content that is still be added, that is. The mechanical framework seems to be done, though.

Which is pretty interesting, for past releases there wasn't much extra meat added to the bones. We got mostly new mechanics and just enough content to demonstrate them. We might be in for good times:)

The game was completed 8 years ago and we get a free expansion every year.

Arranging holidays in an embrace with the Starsector is priceless.

Thanks for the serious replies.

A few jokes are ok too.

I was asking because it's been nearly 2 years since I played and I'd like to get back into it... And this time I'll add a bunch of mods from the get-go too :)

I had not played since the major colony update and just got back into it. Having a good time without any mods at the moment.

Most mods will likely stop working in the weeks immediately after the next release though, so if you want to play modded, you should jump in now, rather than when the next major release happens.
