Star Wars Reboot?
« on: August 14, 2020, 07:16:38 PM »

I love Starsector and also a big fan of Star Wars. I just feel these two IP will fit together nicely, hyperspace, space combat etc. However Star Wars mods for this game are long dead since... 2013? I wonder why no one reboot SW mod so I can only make one for myself. So I just wanna ask is there any existing SW mod that support 0.9.1a and is Star Wars mod still a thing if a new one is released now?

Let's see...
  • ships too big or too small
  • different scale of battles
  • StarWars is fantasy, Starsector is SciFi
  • copyrighted content by a very litigious company - this is no joke, friend.
  • multiple planetkillers
  • ... and it might just be more interesting to make something of your own.
The hurdles and concerns are just way, way bigger than the payout of yet another SW mod in a videogame.

True. I worry about copyright issue the most. Its kind of tricky when or what content of a star wars game mod will violate the copyright.
