The Cylons have returned to destroy the 12 Colonies of Kobal. Only two battlestars remain to defend against the complete extinct of the human race.

This is an update to the previously made Battlestar Galactica Mod created by Spiketail118. Most of the credit for the creation of all of the data for the ships and weapons should go to them. I have just made certain parts of the mod playable on the current release of Starsector. I hope to eventually expand on the mod and eventually add in factions to the campaign.

Current Features:
Mission: "Survival" - Fight against four Cylon Basestars as BS-75 "Galactica"
Mission: "Scorpion Shipyards" - Valkyrie-Class Battlestars ambushed while refitting
Battlestar Galactica
Cylon Basestar
Battlestar Valkyrie

Future Features:
More Missions
Adding Cylon and the 12 Colonies factions to campaign
More ships updated from old mod
Possibly balance ships against vanilla ships

Help Wanted:
Help needed with balancing the weapons and ship stats.
Help needed with figuring out how to add factions into campaign. (Tutorials have not been very helpful)

i would suggest to get rid of those files
\BattleStar Galactica Update\sounds\music\*.ogg

all of them contains video, it's 172MB

removing those will decrease the .7z archive size from 165MB to 1.5MB

@ChaosRemnant There is currently no other way. Once I get the motivation to work on this again I will try to update it to at least be able to be bought in independent markets.

You can go ahead if you want to. Right now I have it to where I am using EZFaction to make the Cylon and Survivors of Kobol faction because I am too lazy to learn how to make the factions manually, so I can upload that if you want but it requires you to have the EZFaction mod installed as well.

Hello there,
thank you for doing this, I wanted to do the same and already did some ground work actually but I procastinated really hard didn't make any progress xD

I'll try to add a factions for the Colonies and the Cylons, if you don't mind ^^

I have extensively playtested this mod for two months (03/2020-05/2020) with an absurd mod list (127) and found it is unbalanced up UNTIL adding one specific mod.

Hyperion ships is a good balance if not turntable against this mod's ships and weapons, proving a worthy opponent for this mod's ships and more so weapons. This is proven due to the mod's OP use of phase pieces on every Hyperion vessel that does NOT generate flux. They are generally hard to take down due to it normally, if not impossible in some regards. Your ships are hard nuts to crack just by armor, which I like about your ships. Your guns are "Perfectly Balanced" by The Spiffing Brit's standards, but they fit the lore quite well. When some missile based ships are combined with the ICBMs of certain Yuri mods, or hive drones from certain Coalition mods, or simply use swarm missile launchers, it is a glorious fire show to watch. Of course, that's all in theory as the last batch I mentioned was done in ship testing rather than anything else.


Though I love how unique your ship scaling is, it's refreshing to see the sheer size difference between the ships and the individual fighters/support craft that zoom around the large slow ship. They fit in the whole idea of being one man or two-man craft that are supposed to be fast, I also love how they stay in formation until they break formation during the first salvo of their gun runs.

I recommend this mod 100% if Hyperion systems are involved, and 60% if you want to make pirates very hard to combat. That I also like; the pirates use these ships and become an actual threat now.
