Author Topic: Am I the only one think mod ships are lot weaker than their Vanilla counterpart?  (Read 2691 times)

So no one gonna mention the Cathedral ships?
From Ship/Weapon pack, I made these things nigh invincible my last run.

See, these things are basically 6 ships put together around a central one, all with seperate flux pools.
That alone doesn't mean all THAT much...until you put a makeshift shield generator on each of the surrounding parts to add a second layer with the base ships omni shield.
So now you have a giant super ship with several giant flux pools that have overlapping defenses and offenses, 4 hangar bays, and can basically do the Dooms minelaying thing with it's central system.

Oh and it has a built in "Redeemer" missile that seems to not have an ammo cap.

The three I built in my last run were able to take entire Heg Kill Fleets on their own.
