Activation key problem

So a couple of days ago I pirated the game, mostly to see if my potato could run it good enough, and today, as of 30 min ago i bought it. The problem resides in that it isn't asking me to give my activation key and would like to know to put my key, to be full legal and all of that. sorry for wasting your time in something as stupid as this.

Well, you could go registry diving (see here), but that's probably not worth it - if the key you're currently using (ahem) were to stop working at any point, the game would prompt you for a key, but aside from that, you're good and shouldn't have any problems.
