reading about how the game works i was told that Fleets dont refuel or take supplies, but dont they are affected by their faction economy?
if i manage to interrupt the production of a faction like attacking their planets, will this have any impact?

I know it can hurt stability of the planet/starbase in the system and bad stability lowers the quality of their fleets. It can also create permanent De-civilized debuffs if it drops low enough, which causes the stability problems to become worse.

It also effects the people they supplied with fuel or w/e resource you crippled (assuming you damaged a specific industry). This would drive up the cost of that product everywhere as demands would exceed supplies.

If someone can explain it better and in more detail please do. This is what I've learned in the short time I've been playing.
