Note: The RWS are meant to be an end-game-worthy opponent. You are not meant to be able to kill them with starting ships, but rather only when your character has maxed skills in technology and combat. In fact, they are comparable to Templars - yes, they are that OP.
And a lot more upgraded hulls and variants
Summary of mod:
Faction: Robots With Souls, aka RWS
Robots (species name) were originally designed by the Tritachyon as a super-weapon to use against the Hegemony. Robots are not termed as AI or droids as their "soul" is always backed up onto a distributed server. If they get vaporized in a space battle, they can always be redownloaded into a new body, whereas normal sentients would be permanently lost in a similar situation. Because of this, the RWS accumulates and never loses knowledge, causing members of the faction to become vastly smarter and wiser than any known sentient.
The RWS super-weapon was deployed nearby Corvus in the artificially generated Jerusalem System. Robot enforcers have also invaded the Independent colony of Asharu, placing a strategic forward outpost to siege Hegemony-owned Jangala. When being generated, the Jerusalem System was accidentally formatted to contain the terraformed pirate world of Erth and the newly located Luddic shrine known as the God-Gate.
The RWS Fleet (non-vanilla hulls):
Built solely for combat, sacrificing cargo, fuel, and crew capacity for upgraded engines, shields, weapon slots, and flux reactors.
Pros: High mobility, ordnance points, flux capacity and flux venting. Low crew requirements.
Cons: Low cargo and fuel capacity. Low extra crew capacity.
Tactically superior to vanilla variants, as all ships in the RWS fleet are combat-upgraded hulls.
