Eh, it's probably messed up normals. This was one of my first models where I still had very little idea what I was doing haha... I'll see if I can fix it.

Ok, take a look at this one... https://www.mediafire.com/?9s18sbs22wdl251

I was able to auto-fix most of the issues with a couple blender commands and a bit of hand tinkering with some of the especially gnarly auto-generated bits in about 15 minutes of tinkering, let me know if there's any other issues.

Normals are fixed (I think):

With Construction Material:

After a quick cleanup:

Needs more work but it's very time consuming to get a perfect effect :)

Nice- looks like my model was about at the right level of detail in the first place... was a little curious how it that would play into things. Also looks like we lost the two front "prongs", but I doubt those would have survived shipping in the first place haha...   ;)

Yeah, the prongs came out too thin and ended up snapping as I removed the construction paste

Would you like me to clean it up further or leave as is?

Either works, I'll probably spend a bit of time polishing things off myself in either scenario.

* also, things snapping off is totally what happens when you design spacecraft for form, not function haha. Probably should have thickened things up on the model side, but it didn't really occur to me that that would be an issue.

Sounds good, just PM me a picture of the receipt. (and maybe wrap it in something protective, like tissue paper or something)
