Too much ore from a single salvage?

I just salvaged an abandoned mining station and got 32,000+ ore,due to a Salvage rig and the salvaging character skill, I had 175% total salvage, but still feels like TOO much.
The wiki doesn't have specific quantities so I'm not sure if its intended to be such a high number.
Just to see what happened tried to move it with ~1700 cargo capacity, it ate my 500+ supplies in one frame, was fun.

Not a bug. Salvaging stations is now expected to give you literal tons of low-grade cargo.

I think the variability is a problem though, like sometimes the station gives you an entirely manageable amount of loot and sometimes it's a five-digit load.
Having surplus cargo is meant as an incentive to put the cargo in stabilized pods and come back later (it lasts for well over a year now), but nobody is going to do this for ore.
