In the [Diable Avionics] mod, The ships [Pocket Gust] and [Gust] have the ability to control the fighters they have equipped directly.
(This may only apply to the Wanzer-type fighters I'm not sure)

Also that same mod has a ship called [Versant] that is very much like an elite fighter type ship.

The problem is CR. Because if you did participate in a large battle you would be dead in the water with any of those ships halfway through.

That is, if you are going in with those ships solo.

I mean you COULD have multiples of the above ships and  deploy one of them at a time, switching when the CR begins to run out.
But that would involve you having a small fleet of them which I'm not sure is what you wanted.


Third option.

You pick a small fightery-frigate you like (from any mod) duplicate all it's related files putting a 2 or whatever at the end to differentiate, then go into ships_data.csv and jack up it's CR to like 5000, then use the modded console to give it to yourself in a new game, and sell your other starting ship(s).

Keep in mind you could also modify other aspects of the ship_data.csv to your liking.

If you want I could do this for you or teach you. It's quite easy.

I think your best bet would be to ask a modder to make a faction variant using the [survey_mothership_battle] sprite as a base.

Put a few custom neato built-in weapons on it and your good to go.

Got a fatal null after I defeated the roaming exiles. Very interesting fight btw.

Not sure if anyone mentioned this yet, the "Snake" Luddic path fighter is showing up in the ship menu, not the fighter menu for blueprint crafting. Nott sure if tthis is also a problem with the other patrol fighters.

The bounty fleets are way too large. Here, for example is a 56 ship bounty hunter fleet. This is without uncapped player level or anything like that.

You can change the size of bounty hunter fleets in VAYRA_SETTINGS. In the mod folder.

Nothing wrong with adding a bit of humor into your hard work but that flute song (Cumrade Cums) as the Revolutionary Council anthem. Really?
Not a big deal replacing it but still... why would you add that? It's not funny, just straight up annoying.

More motivation to eliminate the faction.
Yeah, but it is quite immersion breaking. Specially after all the trouble to make all the custom sprites for it. Even the Pathers have better music and we all know their ideology is trash. The tips are funny, this is just annoying.

But hey, maybe Varya thinks "propaganda for my favorite ideology" = "extreme self-deprecation McCarthyists would approve of". Apart from that, the mod itself is quite fun and a welcome addition alongside Nexelerin. The People's Collective at least has the decency to be small-scale and not cause much trouble, while the Stormhawks themselves are far better at the "annoying guerrilla terrorist force" thing and thus #1 on my kill list.

Well nothing is stopping you from converting a short music file into OGG format and replacing the file, that's what I did. It's just as simple as you think it is.

I don't understand java very well, but I've been playing around in some modfolders tweaking shipstats and the like.

I decided I wanted to add essentially some duplicate ships that I fiddle copy/paste fiddle with in the skins/variants file that can only be accessed via console for personal use on some role play starts.


So far I made the ship and got it working, but I wanted to make a special hullmod for it, so I made the icon, worked, but when I got to the script I wanted to tweak slightly I'm having a bit of trouble. I'm trying to modify the script for the Merchant Marine faction hullmod from Vayra's sector (or make something from scratch that's similar) to have less armor but no maneuverability debuff and then rename it and put that new hullmod on the ship I made. Problem is even If I copy the script entirely with no changes I'm getting a crash on startup, I know It's probably something simple I'm unaware of, so I'm wondering if anyone knows what the problem is.

Reason I'm using Vayra's sector is that the ship I've messed around with is from that mod.

Also, tried to install Netbeans, it's being a pain to install and frankly I don't feel like going through a million google searches to find out the solution to THAT problem.

I'm using Notepad++ and so far it's worked for most of the tweaking I've done. Your advice is much appreciated.

You guys do know you can just go into the ship_data and edit stats yourself right? Same with weapons in the other notepad.

Scratch that, had to be either SCY or Sylphon. I took those 2 out, started a new game. hit /Allblueprints with the console and started shufflein. No crash. Hopefully it was one of those 2, i can live with 2 less faction mods even though they were really well done.

Thank you for the input. Hopefully I caught the right mods and it isn't some sort of timebomb.
