Mods / Re: [0.95.1a]Epta Consortium - 1.5.1

I think epta capitals are overtuned. Theoretically they're fragile, but in practice the bonus to flux dissipation from recent shield damage combined with the Aeolus's phase dive/the conquest's excellent point defenses means they're *better* at sticking around unsupported than other ships. I've been running a swarm of smodded Takeshido Conflictors with some LP Brawlers thrown in for coverage. In a recent fight against an Epta special battlegroup, I quickly lured off and took down their support ships, leaving them with nothing but three capitals, split across the battlespace. Naturally, I concentrated my 16-odd remaining frigates with 8 officers and Wolf Pack on an isolated Conquest (Plus a Heron for fighter support).... which proceeded to just not give a damn for a solid minute while the other two capitals moseyed over to join up with it. I'm not sure why this was the case- it might involve some of the difficulties in the Takeshido AI that I've noticed- but that was a solid 180 DP concentrated on a single capital, in a fleet with which I've had no trouble using to quickly eliminate vanilla conquests and onslaughts.

(The conflictors were loaded with a mix of Cyclone Reapers and Squalls, with all of them having Scala Autocannons in their small slots, so I don't think that an absence of kinetics is responsible here.)

Nah, they're post-battle recovery only. After all, they're essentially meant to be fought against as a legio power-up.
That's annoying. I'm trying to do a Legio run with Nexerelin and I want some Daemons in my fleet for roleplay reasons.

Is there a way to obtain Legio automated ships other than recovering them from battles? I haven't seen any of them pop up in the markets, and they're not available from Legio nanofab opportunites so far as I can tell.

So I went off to fight some Remnant ordos, after withdrawing a pile of capital ships, thinking that the reason I had such limited deployment was because of relative fleet size.

Doing some searching, I soon found that deployment had been changed at some point earlier this year to reflect relative officer levels rather than relative fleet size. That's rough, because even with max level officers (including the two Domain level 7's), a beta core Radiant, and Officer Training, I'm still deploying at a disadvantage relative to Remnant Ordos because of their large collection of AI core officers. That disadvantage is compounded by the low DP costs of Remnant ships. All in all, it makes for an unpleasant experience that mainly rewards sticking your whole fleet on your own deployment edge so that you can cycle capitals easily and compensate for the significant fielded force disadvantage you suffer.

The relatively simple solution would be to adjust how AI core officers are counted in fleet deployment calculations.
