Suggestions / AI ships outflanking you by moving into the border-most squares

At this moment the AI can move ships into the outermost squares on the battle map while you're not able to move in there. You're limited to move your ships at most at the border of those zones, not further. So cannot stop the AI from flanking you when you make a "last stand" kind of battle (imagine 240 DP fleet vs a 400+ DP remnant multiple Alpha cores AI fleets)
And please refrain from using the "why don't you just attack those ships?" to be able to move in that area without a move order. I'm talking about giving us more tools in the battle map, not about trying to circumvent a limitation that seems to serve no evident purpose.
So, TLDR version: Either stop AI from moving-flanking you into the outermost squares in battle map OR allow us to move in that region too. Thank you for reading
