This game had a lot of potential to be fun, it could've been a great game.

Now after playing around 0.6 i think you strayed away from any fun and success this game could've ever had, look at Battlecruiser 3000 and what became of it

It saddens me to see Starfarer going down the same road.

Aufwiedersehn, this was fun until 0.52, i think i'll just savor that memory than this.

Modding / Little help please? Spriting basics for dumb Vikings

So, i want to start making ships, i got some nice imagination but absolutely no clue on how to start beyond having Paint.net (i can't afford photoshop).
The tutorials aren't very helpful either.
So here are the questions: where do i get the weapon mounts, engines, textures and details from?
What resolution is normally used?
I can figure out the rest on my own (PROBABLY), placing, colouring ect. ect.

Modding / Unable to edit FleetData after playing

Title says it all, just capped 2 capital ships, and there's no way in hell i'll find all the weapons i need in the system. (Faithroper colony ships, 72 small slots combining the 2)
So i'm trying to edit my Fleet with XML viewer, i find Document/CampaignEngine/PlayerFleet/FleetData, try to open it, but there appears to be nothing there. This is weird since i actually modded my save before for credits and 10000 FP max size.
Am i missing something?
How can i edit my ships to have the same loadout as my other Faithroper i have outfitted already?

Modding / Little request: Accidents

Is anyone able to tell me how to mod the game so i can have massive fleets without suffering an accident every other minute?
Or how to disable accidents altogheter?

I'm frankly *** off by the inability to have a fleet larger than 100 fp when the Ai floats around with fleets easily worth 300 or more.
Any help is appreciated.

General Discussion / Multiple carriers?

So, i decided to run a fighter intensive fleet, i by intensive i mean INTENSIVE, with over 40-50 wings currently running around.
But a problem has emerged, why do all fighters go back to a single carrier when i have 5 of them on the field for a total of 11 flight decks?
Is there a current fix or will it be fixed soon? ATM my fleet can sweep 5 capships but has to wait 5 minutes until all torpedo bombers are rearmed.

So, i recently started playing, and so far i'm really enjoying this game.
But there is a thing i'm really missing, a way to park part of your fleet to travel faster, because at a crawling 120 speed i can't really engage anything, but also i don't feel like selling my hard earned Capships, including 2 Mobile Fortresses (from a mod) just to be able to actually fight.
Is there a mod or any prevision of such a feature in future versions of the game? If there isn't i highly suggest this.
