Well, I would really like to have colonies only as mid-end game feature that doesn't net you merely 10k ^^ They should be expensive to build and maintain, but pay themself quickly while Starbases should be strategic (like: Resupply for Marines, fuel, supplies and the like)

Oh boy I would really love Space Stations for my "Pirates!" run; would be so nice to turn them to smuggler's paradise, producing and distributing drugs to the Coreworlds, possibly disrupting them harrr harr harr :D

Hey there,

I really like to sit back and watch my armada to engage the enemy, but it lacks some entertaining features, for example:

I would like to have the tactical view but without grid and be able to zoom in and out

Also it would be very cool to have some free look, it feels very clunky to follow your or the enemy ship in combat because the camera always reset for some reason.

Yeah I do so haha ^^

As you pointed out, I wanna see it in the battle as crippling effect, for example. With a chance to hulk the ship without destroying it (resulting in fewer / no D-Mods!). You could set up your marines to disrupt enemy systems like engine, flux-gen or weapons and then evacuate back to their mothership safely OR they could try to overhelm the enemy, possibly hulking them or die trying (resulting in the loss of boarding party)

But I've read the dispute too and I understand why Alex scuttled this feature....

I've some suggestions for the game, mainly AI things

- rudimentary formations; I've got some heavy slow cruisers, and they always start as last line. I want them to be the spearhead, but I've to do so via waypoints

- Engagement ranges: similar to BFGA, let us set the prefered combat range. Many of my Long-Range ships tend to HUG a spacestation, for example.

- prefered targets; let us set our pickets to fight fighters, our frigates shall attack civilian and our big ship shall slug it out with the other bigplayers; or let's have a dedicated anti-fighter destroyer for this role :P

- auto-disengage threshold when hull reach that %

Well, mostly title.

I fought several battles against bounty targets but I was never able to recover their ships... and I want their juicy battleships, damn u!

Is it bad luck or intended ?

I really just registered because I want to praise this amazing game and honor how much fun it gave me. I own all X-games (except rebirth... u know why) but X4 is like a shadow to this game (even when they differ a bit). No Man's Sky isn't my cup of tea, Starpoint Gemini Warlords was bad imo and Battlefleet Gothic Armada 2 is too shallow. Your game is the perfect balance in COMMANDING, FIGHTING, TRADING, THINKING, EXPLORING and GRINDING.

I fkn love it! I would advertise it more but I don't know how haha

I must admit that this is concerning. I'm eager to set up my first colony (but I've not found any suitable planet yet) but your posts sound like this would be more hassle then benefit...
