As a forum moderater, can I trust this was just my antivirus being overly cautious?



Oh and I'll try the speed thing, outrunning the big fleets sounds like it could make my time much easier.

I've owned this game for quite some time now and just have never been able to get passed the first "grind" of the campaign, which is why I asked. I've tried all the different starter ships and like I said, I've tried saving constantly and reloading when I lost or ran into some mega pirate army but I just can't seem to get off the ground. I don't understand why they would have such huge fleets floating around right off the get go like that but it certainly has killed my fun with this game.

I was wondering if anyone would be willing to upload a campaign save file where they're at least sort of kinda into the game? I've completely given up on how unbelievably unfair and broken the start of the campaign is. I like the gameplay and the game is fun in the missions but I just don't have the patience to save scum non-stop because the start is so imbalanced right now. As a bit of an unrelated side note, any word on if that will be fixed in the next patch?

I checked the newbie sticky but it didn't address this issue directly. It did say to pick out easy pirate ships but I can't do that. I start in and as soon as I move from the spawn point I'm immediately swarmed by a horde of like 15 fleets. And in the mass of fleets that are faster than me, is one tiny little pirate ship I actually stand a chance again. I've tried saving every few seconds but sometimes I get into spots where I beat the ship then immediately get attacked by a huge fleet? How am I suppose to progress in this game?
