Because of recent events with the previous maintainer, I have taken over the role

I have looked through and recompiled the mod to make sure there wasnt any code out of place.

Reverted the ships and fighters stats of the previous to that of 2.7.0. Weapon balance are still the same and would like Feedback on whetever or not to revert those also or at least which specific weapons

Added 4 New ships (2 Cruisers, 1 Destroyer, 1 Frigate) that was planned to be added in before that blew up so I'm adding them here, I would like feedback on the balance of these new ships so if you could, try them out and see if they're too strong or not.

None, I looked over the code and recompiled the jar just to be sure and couldn’t find any out of place code before putting it up.
The src is still included if you wish to confirm it for yourself

Thanks for the good work! Yeah, I only seen it from a distance as someone almost entirely disconnected from Starsector community content and truly did not like what I saw.

Just found out about all this *** today.
Hopefully someone does the same for Exotica Technologies

My favorite ship design ever is dependent on that, and it would be a real shame to play without my Drift King

the Riptide class is more akin to Ironshell Philosophy with the Lack of Good PD coverage and Feels like it would always use the hoar 6th gen Support Wanzer for PD support. Awesome Ship would highly Approve.

the PolarV-Class the name feels Very non-DA but the ship Feels Underwhelming due to how it looks to what it behaves,
its basically a High Shield Defense Destroyer that looks bigger than the Rime class which is Classified as a Cruiser very weird.
should have been the opposite, a High Armor Cruiser with Flux Redirection Rolled into it(with built-in Ballistic rangefinder or dampened Mounts built-in).

the Ashfall-Class feels like a Mini Haze without the speed and an odd system for its Default Variant load-out.

The Brisk-Class is a Mini Coanda as a Plate of Metal with Guns strapped to it, Viable ship to say the least.

and the S-mod effect for damped mounts feels like a little bonus with a debuff on top of it eh,just mid.

overall the new stuff is hit and miss.

edit : i think both the Riptide and the PolarV would benefit with the Calm's System instead of what they have since the Riptide's Current system makes it Too powerful and the PolarV's System is just underwhelming on the PolarV(not Weak but just boring).
The PolarV's Design would need a Stat change to a Heavy Armor Cruiser(Armor Tank) instead of a Weird ass Destroyer(Shield Tank).

(a bit above, it says it's compiling the script). This happens even though the jar is there.

Simply deleting the src/ directory fixes the issue though. There's no real point to have it at all when it just makes the zip larger and isn't used at runtime at all since the jar is there.

Even if it doesn't, you can just drag the sprites from the pack to the main mod and you're good to go. But a simple version change is enough, yep.

i would HIGHLY Recommend to Make both the Ritide and PolarV have the calm's PD Drones and cover the 3 Small Mounts at the back on the Riptide Balance Purposes.
as for the Brisk it can be underwhelming ,i haven't found ideas on to make it better tho, i think replacing the micromissile for small Missile Mounts would be something.

I like the Brisk as the Ai does a good job with them and solid upgrade over the Draft if you want a combat escort for the slower destroyers or a carrier.  The Brisk does need a autofit loadout and I don't think any of the new ships right now have a damage state for D-mods.

I only have the Polar Vortex and the Brisk right now.

Are you planning to take over the other mods the previous person was handling? Seeker, for example. He made an unnecessary change that broke save files and required a new game or modifying of files I have zero business messing with.
