There is a FPS and load counter in the top left corner? I think that's default, though I may have turned them on a long time ago and forgotten about them.
This is on for me as well and I don't think I ever turned anything on. Also the FPS counter is in the top right on the campaign main screen, top left on the menu and bottom edge center for combat.

Pause removal, if featured, should be a separate option and not bundled/piggybacking off of something else.  Sometimes, I am forced to stop whatever I am doing on the computer and leave to deal with something.
I agree with Megas here; pause mode should not be "linked" to anything else. This would ALSO benefit those that don't want to play hard or whatever mode "no pause" is linked to.

What improvements do you want in the settings menu? I'm not really missing anything there, but if you got a good idea...
One thing that I would do with the settings menu is swap its tab with the controls tab. It would make toggling mouse aiming faster

@ValkyriaL: I've not updated this mod in a loooong while, so you probably played the last version.

I didn't feel like keeping track of a changelog. I posted the changes in a new post whenever a new version was out. Yeah, not really professional, I agree. x)

@Lopunny Zen: Noted. I won't be touching the big laser cannons though. If more people think the Skaal and Pride are too strong, I'll let those ships suffer through other means. :)

Hm, instead of saving continuously you could 'cheat' yourself a little Alex. Have it so that just before combat it saves two pieces of information. The fact a battle is about to occur, and a calculate auto-resolve ending.

IF you go through with combat and are either successful or defeated, that autoresolve information is deleted automatically from the save file.

IF you 'rage' quite early, the next time you load the save game it will see that the player went into battle and the autoresolve results of it.

Either way combat is 'resolved' in some fashion and there is a chance it could be in the player's favour or against. So the player has to ask themselves if the autoresolve result would be the same or better than their own result. It might give Gothars pause for thought before hitting Alt+F4 again :)


Mh, that's something I could live with, seems harsh but fair. It just had to be pretty harsh, so that no one can abuse it as a way to autoresolve fights on purpose.

Just want to mention that I'm not hitting alt+f4 in order to retry and improve the outcome of a battle. I do it in a knee-jerk reaction, because I'm momentarily frustrated with the game and want it out of my sight asap.
Why not use a different key then? Like WinKey D ? I use it myself when I need a break from it like in situations like yours

I actually like the whiteouts. While they can be a bit much, they make killing big ships that much more momentous. What remains after the whiteout could use some work though, imo.
You can make killing the ships momentous WITHOUT blinding half the player base and killing off my Framerate
