Are prices affected by the amount of mods?

I have quite a few races installed right now along with SS+ (roughly 16 off the top of my head) and I noticed that fuel, supplies and ships are not only scarce, they're hideously expensive. I've been trying to figure out what caused this, and the only two conclusions I came up with are either my character level or the races. Which is it, exactly?

Amount of mods, no.  Most likely there are one or two specific mods that are throwing off the economy calculations.  Possibly even just one - if someone adds a market that is a large scale consumer of fuel and supplies, and does not add corresponding production, you would get exactly the effect you are observing.

Red, Blue and Higaarans are completely unbalanced economy-wise, if you have just one of them it can starve the sector of supplies.

So I suppose until they get a balanced economy written in, I should avoid them or consider them 'hard mode'?

Pretty much: you can test them in missions, but the campaign is less than optimal with them.

*cue Torguespeak* OUR BAD.

I'm going to fix that with the faction relations, since trade normally begins with someone that has utterly no hostility since most  mods, minus Intersteller Imperium, already did so.

Edit: This problem is currently fixed now.
