I'd actually prefer it if the player did not have that much information about all the fleets in a system. It spoils the exploration part of the game. I'd like the game to show clear information about static installations, but fleets only as vague disturbances (that might also be something else?), with better info incoming as you get closer. Or hail them/send probes/get info from allies.

I so hope for real intelligence gathering, not only for economy but also about fleet movement/military tactics. I hope that gets fleshed out together with the exploration part of the game.
