0.65.1a FPS Drop

I finally updated to 0.65.1a from 0.65

Every once in awhile the FPS randomly drops down, usually during combat or when I buy ships.  I kept my memory settings the same as I did in 0.65 at -Xms1024m -Xmx2048m  The strange part is if I Alt+Tab out of the game and Alt+Tab back in it runs just fine then.  I was running 100% pure Vanilla with both versions as well so I can't blame any mods on it.  Any thoughts why this happens and why Alt+Tabbing fixes it?

Hmm. As far as I can see, there's no reason this'd be any different from .65 to .65.1. I'd try lowering Xmx back to 1024 - could be that when enough memory gets allocated, it causes other issues (thinking that maybe video and RAM are shared on your system?) Hard to say, though.

Nah, my laptop is about 3 years old but it has dual Nvidia GTX 560s.

I thought I was running pure Vanilla but it seems that when I copied my saves, mods, and jre folder over it left Shaderlib Beta 0.9 turned on and that was causing the slowdown.  Turning it off brought it back to normal.  Maybe I need to download the latest Shaderlib...

Note: ShaderLib is not to blame for framerate loss in the campaign, only during combat.

A GTX 560 is more than enough to run everything; my GTX 670 barely reaches 30% usage in the biggest battles.  If you are getting slowdowns, it could be vsync causing issues for you.

I'm now blaming the weather for the slowdown because now it seems fine all the time...  Stupid snow...
