Some hull mods balancing
« on: February 17, 2012, 12:51:09 AM »

Flux coil adjunct increases a ship flux capacity by 50/100/150/250 (as its description say), but i think it was meant to be 500/1000/1500/2500

Not a bug but Stablized Shields is useless, it is always more convenient to use extra flux vents

Oops, good catch - ty. Same w/ the flux distributor.

Unless you can't because you've reached the vent/capacitor limit (10/20/30/50 based on hull size). It'll be more useful when you can raise the OP limit through character skills (and so will the adjunct and the distributor, which are 2x worse than vents/capacitors for the OP cost).

I have redone the math and checked more ships, actually is already useful for many ships even not at vents limit

Well, on the Apogee, it is 9 OP to reduce the shield cost be 210 flux/second! It is useful some of the time, and on some ships. Do not doubt the Shield Stabilizer.

In Soviet Russia, the Shield Stabilizer does not doubt you!  :)

Oh a less silly note, I can't wait for more Hull Mods and stuff like the adjunct and the distributor, they add lots of interesting options.  I personally love having tons of flux capacity for my Heavy Blasters.   ;D

Pew pew.

Maybe Stablized Shields should use OP depending on the hull size like others mod
